EPIC RESEARCH MCX ZINC UPDATE OF 24 AUGUST 2016

Zinc trading range for the day is 153.5-155.5. Zinc prices settled up at 154.75 as lower mine supply has eroded feed for smelters. Worrying the market is a large LME position, holding 40-49 percent of zinc warrants and cash contracts. Chinese imports of zinc contained fell substantially, by 26% with the country’s net imports of refined zinc metal growing by 112%.
