Silver trading range for the day is 38385-38753. Silver prices were down slightly as the dollar clawed back some recent losses and stocks rose, but worries about U.S. inflation kept buyers in the metal. The U.S. Commerce Department reported that consumer prices rose more than expected in January by 0.5%, sending U.S. bond yields higher. Speculators switched to a net short position in silver futures and options, according to the CFTC data.
