Nickel trading range for the day is 976.5-1013.3. Nickel settled down trading below 1000 level tracking weakness from LME nickel which finished 0.9 percent lower at $14,650 a tonne. LME nickel stockpiles are the lowest since 2014, underlining a deficit in the metal used for stainless steel. The US slapped steep import duties on steel products from Vietnam that originated in China after a final finding they evaded US anti-dumping and anti-subsidy orders.
