Silver trading range for the day is 39657-40435. Silver prices gained as the rally in bond yields and the dollar cooled, limiting downside momentum in the precious metal. The U.S. economy has reached the threshold for maximum employment and it may already be lower than is sustainable, Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan said. New applications for U.S. jobless benefits increased more than expected last week, but the number of Americans on unemployment rolls fell to its lowest level since 1973.
