Copper trading range for the day is 447-474.4.

* Copper dropped as speculators turned negative when U.S. inflation concerns grew on the back of comments by central bank officials.

* China's hopes of negotiating a free trade pact with Canada or Mexico were dealt a sharp setback by a provision deep in the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement.

* China consumed 160,100 mt of copper scrap in August, according to monthly data on domestic actual consumption of copper scrap.
