Zinc trading range for the day is 170.8-179. Zinc prices dropped as profit-taking and book-squaring towards year-end weighing on prices. Zhuzhou, China’s biggest zinc smelter, is meeting its commitment to cut 50,000 tonnes of refined zinc production this year, sources said. China’s refined zinc output in January-November 2016 was in fact 1.2% higher year-on-year.
