Nickel seen under pressure on news that Indonesia’s state-owned diversified miner PT Antam is targeting a 162 percent jump in nickel ore sales next year. The Philippine environment minister said that a ban on new open pit mining in the country would remain in place. Imports of refined nickel are down 51.4 percent to 155,382 tonnes in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period last year.
