Zinc trading range for the day is 225.2-233. Zinc prices rose as the dollar retreated and strong inflation data prompted a move into hard assets. The premium for cash over three-month zinc slipped to $23.50 a tonne from a three-month high of $55.50 at the end of January. U.S. producer prices accelerated in January, boosted by strong gains in the cost of gasoline and healthcare, offering more evidence that inflation pressures are building up.
