Nickel trading range for the day is 904.5-932.3. Nickel gained on short covering after prices dropped dampened by a stronger dollar ahead of a U.S. monetary policy meeting. Russia's Norilsk Nickel said its first-quarter consolidated nickel production rose 1 percent year-on-year to 54,063 tonnes. Global demand for nickel is expected to increase to 2.34 million tonnes in 2018 versus 2.19 million in 2017, INSG said.
