* Silver prices gained as a lower U.S. dollar bolstered the price of the precious metal.

* Trade worry offset expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike in September, pushing the greenback lower and increasing the price of bullion.

* U.S. President Donald Trump warned tariffs on a further $267 billion worth of Chinese imports, on top of earlier promises to levy duties on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods.
